We worked with Marina Pavlova when we were preparing to downsize our home. She made the process of moving to a smaller home much easier for us. She was able to look at our furnishings and ‘see’ them in our new smaller space. She was so thorough with measuring and seeing the best use of some of our favourite pieces. I hired Marina to design a bathroom in my living space in the basement of the new house I share with my daughter. During the construction, I felt she really listened to my preferences in style and colour.
Her choices of colours and finished were perfect and she also designed a way to make my bedroom area more private without blocking the light from the windows. After completing a home renovation, we were looking for someone to add some finishing touches to our family room & a wall in the living room. We became aware of Marina while residing in Manotick and we wanted to avail ourselves of her services for our new apartment.  While we were initially anxious at our first meeting, Marina put us at ease with her pleasant demeanour and professionalism.  She was able to synthesize our thoughts and preferences into a theme for the selection and placement of existing and new furniture, etc..  Her selection of carpets, wall mirrors, sconces and the like were included in a presentation format for our consideration which made it much easier for us to view and appreciate the design proposal.  On delivery day, Marina and her white glove team were prompt and efficient in setting up all of the purchased items, pictures and carpets, etc..

We initially signed up for a design talk with Marina Pavlova of CPI Designs. However due to the start of the pandemic it got cancelled. Knowing from our past efforts of hanging pictures, painting etc. we contacted Marina and arranged a visit to our new home for ideas. This first contact went very smoothly as we explained what we wanted to achieve, hanging pictures, hanging two quilts in the dining / living area. From that Marina took over by displaying most of our pictures and choosing the ones that would suit our interior. Then on to where to hang the quilts, what walls, what height, the rods and fixtures? Suggestions by Marina were next on the list. Paint the fireplace chimney, a rug for the floor in the living area, chandelier in the dining area, mirror and bench in the entrance hall. We accepted all of the above advice and suggestions and we are more than satisfied with Marina and the whole interior design experience. We wouldn’t think twice for asking her advice on future projects and we would recommend her to any of our friends and neighbours.

Marina was a real pleasure to work with. We contacted her after we had purchased a new sofa that just didn’t work with our other furniture items the way we thought it would when we ordered it. We contacted Marina to for her assistance to basically “fix” the room and make it work. Marina came to our home to see the room and immediately set to work. I was very impressed with her professionalism and “can do” attitude. I was worried that she would want to replace everything.. but Marina said she could easily work with what we had and would just make some tweaks and additions which was greatly appreciated. She was very professional and asked us numerous questions and we were most pleased that she was respectful of our wishes and concerns.

Marina returned to us with a proposed design very quickly. We were blown away with her attention to details and how she was able to introduce different elements in the room and make it look so very interesting. Basically she turned a boring room into something unusual. Your eye is no longer drawn to just the sofa but to the variety of things around the room. The end result is quite interesting and we couldn’t be more pleased.

The whole experience was wonderful. There was no pressure to purchase more than our budget would allow and Marina gave us more than what we asked for and on budget. We loved the fact that Marina chose the items for the room and brought a proposal to us as opposed to going around from store to store with her searching for items. And the best thing was that Marina returned to our home on delivery day with helpers who hung the large pictures for us. It was full service at no extra charge and we just loved that. It made the experience that much more hassle free and we were very grateful. We will definitely use Marina’s services again and highly recommend her. Her use of colour and design is fantastic and we couldn’t be happier with our new room!

Marina helped us turn our ‘house’ into our home, advising us on how to decorate and furnish the entire open area on the first floor of our house. She took the time up front to ask us a lot of questions so she knew our likes/dislikes/wishes. She thought through even the smallest details — lightbulbs! Curtain ties!
